Who Turns Up

Serving Dallas, GA

When you call, you get someone who already knows the kind of door most houses around here have. The housing stock in this service area went up mostly between 1970 and 2004, with a lot of it dating to the late 1980s and 1990s, so the torsion springs, extension springs, and opener models we see on a given day repeat themselves. That's not a boast about experience years - it's just what the call volume looks like when most of the neighborhood was built in the same twenty-year stretch. We show up with the parts that actually fit doors from that era, not a guess.

We don't try to be everything. If a job needs a structural fix to the header or framing around the door opening, we'll tell you that straight instead of patching around it. A repair that doesn't hold isn't a repair, it's a second call.

The area

Where We Work

Dallas Door Pros is based at 100 Greystone Power Blvd, Dallas, GA 30157, and most of our calls come from within that service area - roughly 13,867 households, with about 6,909 of those in owner-occupied houses, which is the bulk of who we work on doors for. We also take calls from the towns around us: Hiram is about 6 miles out, Austell and Rockmart around 13 miles, and Emerson, Euharlee, Temple, and Fair Oaks sit somewhere between 16 and 17 miles from our shop.

If you're outside that radius, call anyway and ask - distance isn't a hard cutoff, but it does affect how fast we can get a truck to you on a same-day basis.

What we find

What We Are Called Out For

Cold-climate winters here are moderate, not brutal, but they're still enough to stiffen grease in rollers and tracks, shrink cables slightly, and make a weak spring finally let go on a January morning. That's the call we get most in winter: a door that won't lift, or one that lifts halfway and stops. In spring and summer it shifts toward opener boards, worn rollers, and off-track doors from a car bumping the bottom panel.

Given the age of a lot of the housing stock - built mainly from the 1970s through the early 2000s - we also replace a fair number of openers that are simply at the end of their working life, along with worn rollers and cracked bottom seals on original doors that have never been swapped out. We don't recommend replacing a door just because it's old if the track and hardware are still sound; sometimes a spring and a roller set is the honest fix.

The house has two brown garage doors and a light-colored exterior.

How to Reach Us

Call 1-770-230-6022 and tell us what the door is doing - won't open, won't close, makes noise, opener clicks but nothing moves. That's enough for us to bring the right parts on the first trip instead of guessing twice. You can also find us at 100 Greystone Power Blvd, Dallas, GA 30157.

If you'd rather start online, our home page has more on what we handle. Either way, the fastest path to getting a door fixed is a phone call with a clear description of what's wrong - that alone saves a second visit more often than any other single thing.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work outside Dallas, GA?

Yes. Hiram is about 6 miles from our shop, and we also take calls from Austell, Rockmart, Emerson, Euharlee, Temple, and Fair Oaks, which run from about 13 to 17 miles out. Call and tell us where you're located - distance doesn't rule you out, it just affects scheduling.

What if my opener is original to the house?

Given a lot of the housing stock here dates to the 1970s through early 2000s, we see plenty of original openers still running. We'll test it on arrival; if the motor and board are sound we'll repair what's broken rather than replace the whole unit.

Is a broken spring an emergency?

A broken torsion or extension spring means the door is unsafe to force open by hand or with the opener. Call us and describe what's happening - a stuck door, a loud bang followed by no lift - so we can bring the right spring size on the first trip.
